In the southern Ukrainian city of Cherson, the young and innovative artist Dmitry Dziuba forges modern Jaw Harps in high quality and with great attention to detail.
The Vargan Dziuba Penchacon I impresses with its individual frame geometry. Due to its unusual shape this Vargan can be held very well when playing. With the heavy frame and the very hard, ground reed you can produce loud, sharp sounds which are nevertheless bright and rich in overtones. Its strong vibrations are transmitted intensively to the jaw and skull. This Jaw Harp is ideal for percussive playing techniques, which can be modulated wonderfully with the breath. It is similar to the South Indian Morsings. The Vargan Dziuba Penchacon I is more suitable for experienced jew's harp Players.
The lovingly hand-carved wooden case with a beautifully worked out bark pattern is included and signed.
