Jaw harps are the Elephants among musical instruments: gentle in nature and producing powerful sounds, but somehow also an endangered species. Although they are versatile, trumpeting is not their strong point. Consequently in 2008/9 the LOOPING one-man project was enlarged to form the LOOPING jaw harp orchestra. Jaw harps, steel pans, marimba and percussion joined forces with saxophones, clarinets and a trumpet.

A virtual orchestra for the preservation and expansion of musical biodiversity, LOOPING has left the well-trodden paths of mainstream, as an electrifying power without electric guitars - and resonant with the tender elegance of elephants.
