Hand-wrought Murchunga Jaw Harp from Nepal with a calabash-shaped brass frame and steel reed.
Nepalese Jaws Harps are hand-forged in old tradition. The soft reeds give them a delicate sound rich in overtones. Shape and tone may vary from the photo or sound sample, as they are handmade. The protruding tongue does not effect the sound, but makes it easier to hold the Jaw Harp. They are easy to play.
