Unfortunately, this Jaw Harp is no longer available and can not be supplied anymore. Since most Jaw Harps are handmade by individual craftsmen, it happens time and again that instruments disappear from the market when they are no longer produced.
But because it would be a shame to let this treasure of knowledge simply disappear into the digital afterlife, we have listed these Jaw Harps in our Jaw Harp Archive

This traditional Yakut Khomus was hand-forged by Alexandr Shepelev, a student of the legendary Jaw Harp smith German Burcev. Shepelev invested a lot of time and effort in the shiny polished frame and forged it neatly, precisley and very stable. The sharpened reed is medium taut and well balanced. This allows the player to try out and use the different breathing techniques in all their variety. This is a Jaw Harp that is typical of Yakutia in its form, sound and playability, designed for emotional and profound playing. The Khomus Shepelev Medium sounds excellent, is easy to play, does not clatter and is therefore very suitable for beginners. Even professionals will enjoy this high quality and loud Jaw Harp.
The lightweight cover made of burl (or bur), which was handycrafted to fit every single Khomus, is included in the delivery.
