The Kubing 28 is a traditional musical instrument, which originates from the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. At 28 cm long, the Kubing 28 is our largest Kubing. It too was carved from bamboo and decorated with abstract patterns. Since this jaw harp is played at the lips, it is very easy to learn.
Traditionally, the Kubing is played during festivals and rituals, but it is also used for communication between lovers and close family members. Each Kubing 28 is made by skilled craftsmen from light, flexible and durable bamboo.
Despite its size, the bamboo jaw harp is easy to carry in your bag or backpack, so you can take it anywhere. By experimenting with your breath and your mouth, which serves as a resonating body, you can create a variety of sounds.
The Kubing is an excellent jaw harp for beginners and an exceptional gift for young and old.
