The Thunderer Whistle No. 3 made of polished brass is not only perfect as a signal at games, sport events or at demonstrations, but is also appreciated by musicians as an effects instrument.
Due its comparativley large mouthpiece as well as the juts on the upper and lower side, this whistle can easily be held in the mouth and played. Its quite low-pitched, powerful sound even drown out loud ambient noises, which makes it particularly attractive for stage performers.
This whistle is also made in Birmingham by the traditional company J Hudson & Co (ACME) from sturdy polished brass. A small cork ball is placed inside the sound box for the trill.
