In the eastern mountains of the Czech Republic these kalimbas are lovingly handmade. With their excellent mood and soft touch they please not only the ears but also the hands. The workmanship of the block made of local woods, such as walnut, acacia, cherry, ash and elm, is first class and the cleanly processed tongues sit firm and stable. Their sound is clear, harmonic and for an instrument without a resonance space very assertive and long sustained.
