The Furin Matsukasa wind chime is a small work of art made of cast iron that harmoniously combines tradition and closeness to nature, as well as sound and aesthetics. With a diameter of 44 mm and a height of 42 mm, it is one of the smaller Fūrin in our range. Its name Matsukasa simply means “pine cone”, which is hard to miss visually.
Historically, furin (fūrin) wind chimes were used in temples to drive away evil spirits and promote positive energies. They are deeply rooted in Japanese culture and represent the transience of life – a concept known as ‘Mono no aware’.
