Our Arhat series singing bowls are characterized by their authentic rustic design. These hand-wrought singing bowls from Nepal are made of a high-grade brass alloy and they are only polished inside and on the top edge of the outside. The rest of the outside is left with the original black surface of the forging process. The sustaining, fine sound rich in overtones sounds when struck or rubbed with the right mallet.

Which mallet fits best?

Actually, you can make any singing bowl sound with any of our mallets. However, it is recommended to choose the mallets according to the size of the singing bowl. In the overview in the article description above you will find our recommendations. The recommended mallets usually work fine with the next-smaller and next-bigger singing bowl as well.

However, there is one exception: with the two small singing bowls (300g and 500g), rubbing works only with the wooden mallets. The leather mallets are only suitable for striking with these two.
