Unfortunately, this Jaw Harp is no longer available and can not be supplied anymore. Since most Jaw Harps are handmade by individual craftsmen, it happens time and again that instruments disappear from the market when they are no longer produced.
But because it would be a shame to let this treasure of knowledge simply disappear into the digital afterlife, we have listed these Jaw Harps in our Jaw Harp Archive

Traditionally there are lots of complex melodies for the Kou Xian. But it is also something like a "polyphone pocket synthesizer" for the experimental musician and of course a must for every Jaw Harp maniac.
The sound dimensions will blow up all your expectations.
Look out! Addictive!
All sets come with a case.
The Jawharps (lamellas) of the 2 pcs. set are a bit larger compared to the other sets. Therefore they are easier to play - best Kou Xian for beginners!
These authentic Kou Xian (Hoho) Jaw Harps of the Yi people from Yunnan, China are handmade and traditionally not accurately tuned. If you are looking for cleanly tuned (standard pitch A 440Hz) Kou Xian Jaw Harps or for other intervals have a look at our tuned Vietnamese Kou Xian range.
In the mountain villages of Southwest China, 2000 meters high up in the mountains where the rice-growing terraces are smothered by dense cloud, one will find music which sounds organic and electronic at the same time. Playing the jaw harp, Kou Xian, is very common among the Yi-people in Yunnan and Sichuan.
