Original West African Thelevi, top quality twin ball rattle. Length of string adjustable (max. 13 cm), loud sound.
The Thelevi, also known under names such as Twin-Ball Rattle, Asalato, Kosika nor Patica is made of two balls filled with beads that
are connected by a string. Holding one of the balls between your fingers, you swing the other from side to side around
your hand, thereby producing an exciting combination of rattling and clacking sounds. A must have for rhythm acrobats!
The hard shells do not come from a pumpkin, as the name actually suggests, but from the tree „oncoba spinosa“. Since the hard shells were also used to make boxes for storing tobacco, the plant is also called the snuff-box tree. Also the name fried egg tree is common, because the flowers actually remind of fried eggs.
