Clemens and Roxi test Murchunga Jaw Harps from Nepal - Clemens and Roxi test Murchunga Jaw Harps from Nepal

After we received a large delivery of new Murchunga jaw harps from the two blacksmiths Inok and Ayodhya in Nepal, they were checked and sorted by Clemens and Roxi.

These rustic hand-forged Jew's harps are now also available in our online store.

The Murchunga are primarily characterized by their good price and their rustic look. They can vary greatly in sound - from the finest, easy-to-play overtones to relatively muffled sounds. The advantage of these jaw harps, however, is that you can easily optimize them by reducing the gaps between the tongue and frame - with a little skill. The smaller these gaps are on a jaw harp, the more beautiful, intense and clearer its sound and overtones will be.
