You can hear the world's most famous birthday melody "Happy Birthday to You" when you turn the little crank on this music box. The original American version was written about 130 years ago by the sisters Patty and Mildred Hill as a welcome song for their kindergarten. Today, the birthday song is sung on all continents in its original version or in one of the countless translations.

The gentle melody sounds more powerful when you remove the little musical mechanism from its lovingly decorated box. Since the mechanism is mounted on a small wooden board, this music box unfolds its sound particularly well when you press it onto a large resonating body, such as a table, a chair or a box.
