The Calabash Rattle is made from dried bottle gourd in Ghana and is covered with a braided bast net. While the bigger rattle sounds rather heavy, dark and soft - almost melancholic -, the sound of the smaller Clabash Shaker is cheerier and brighter.

The bast net has different colour combinations.
