The Koncovka overtone flute is the little sister of the Fujara and is also made from elder wood. The natural growth of the elder wood influences the sound and shape of the Koncovka. The larger the overtone flute, the deeper its tone. Its overtone-rich sound is clear and yet dreamy. As the elderflute is played by overblowing, you can modulate the tones with your breath pressure and improvise completely intuitively, even without any previous knowledge. Covering the lower end gives you a further tone scale.
Our Koncovka is made in the Czech Republic by a Slovakian manufacturer in the old tradition with the highest level of craftsmanship. Each instrument is unique in its shape, some of which are lovingly engraved. The surface of the flute is treated with linseed oil. This accentuates the naturalness of the Koncovka's elder wood and at the same time protects it from moisture. A splash of vegetable oil rubbed on the Koncovka from time to time guarantees longevity and protection.
