The Vargan Dernovyi Twist Small was crafted by Dernovyi in the Ukraine and impresses with its beautiful, extremely well done rusticity. Its robust character is based on the hand-forged frame, the master's signature stamped on it and the strong, twisted legs. This Vargan is heavy and yet pleasant to hold in the hand and to the teeth.
Its sharpened reed is medium-hard and very well suited for melodious playing. The loud and well-balanced sound of the Vargan Dernovyi Twist Small can be modulated beautifully by the different breathing techniques, making it very versatile. But it sounds especially harmonic when plucked from front to back.
A minimalistic block with a ribbon is included in the delivery and was carved out of wood to fit this Jaw Harp.
