Unfortunately, this Jaw Harp is no longer available and can not be supplied anymore. Since most Jaw Harps are handmade by individual craftsmen, it happens time and again that instruments disappear from the market when they are no longer produced.
But because it would be a shame to let this treasure of knowledge simply disappear into the digital afterlife, we have listed these Jaw Harps in our Jaw Harp Archive

This is another very special Jaw Harp from Japan. Mizuki Shibata - one of Japan's Jaw Harp pioneers - achieved the second prize in the 2014 International Jaw Harp Maker Competition in Yakutsk with this model.
The heavy frame of this instrument is made of solid brass and crafted in the Yakut Khomus style. The reed is screwed on and stands out slightly. As a result, it can be perfectly played by inhaling.
The Shibata Dai'ichi is constructed very tight. On the one hand, this has the advantage that it is very loud and extremely(!) rich in overtones - but on the other hand the disadvantage is that you have to play very precise. It is therefore more suitable for experienced Jaw Harp players.
