The Vargan Dernovyi Syla Medium was crafted by Oleksandr Dernovyi in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv and stands out for its rustic style. The shape of the hand-forged frame suggests influences of the Norwegian Jaw Harp forging art. This instrument is decorated with the embossed signature of Dernovyi.

The large, heavy frame makes this Vargan particularly easy to hold. The Vargan Dernovyi Syla Medium has a medium-taut reed, which allows the different breathing techniques to be modulated with it. The sound is loud and yet balanced.

A minimalistic block carved out of wood to fit this Jaw Harp is included in delivery.
