The Vargan Dernovyi Syla Small was forged by Oleksandr Dernovyi in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv and attracts attention with its rustic style. The shape of the hand-forged frame suggests influences of the Norwegian Jaw Harp forging art. It is decorated with a signature of Dernovyi.

This Vargan lies heavily and yet pleasantly in the hand and also at the teeth. Its sharpened reed is medium-taut and the different breathing techniques can be modulated with it, making this Vargan very versatile. Its sound is loud and yet balanced.

A minimalistic carved wooden block with a ribbon is included in delivery.
