One of the most famous dance pieces of the Baroque era sounds when you turn the crank of the little music box. You will certainly know the lilting melody composed by Johann Sebastian Bach.
You can easily amplify the sound of this light melody by playing the small music box on a larger resonating body. The best thing to do is to take the music box out of its decorated box and place it on a table, shelf or box. And then you can enjoy the nostalgic composition louder and more intensively.
By the way: Bach worked in Leipzig, the hometown of the DAN MOI team, for 27 years. Here, as cantor, he was responsible for the musical direction of the four main churches and it was here that he wrote many of his Protestant works, such as the St. John and St. Matthew Passions. While his extensive church music was played on the organs of the houses of worship, Bach performed his secular compositions in a Leipzig coffee house - including this dance-like "Badinerie".
