The stirring drum looks like a circular xylophone. Its narrow sound plates made of spruce wood are arranged around a round base made of beech wood. The sound plates of different lengths sound in different tunings.
Conjure up multi-faceted soundscapes? It's child's play, because the stirring drum is ideal for (first) musical experiments. If you stir the drum with the mallet, you can create a sparkling sound that can be varied by striking individual sound plates or the intensity of your turning movements. You can create unusual effects with marbles or small baoding balls. Simply let the marbles circle inside the wooden drum.
