The Vargan Cricket from the master workshop of Glazyrin probably owes its name to the almost chirring sound, which can be produced with this jaw harp and is actually reminiscent of crickets. As with all Glazyrins, this Vargan is also superbly crafted, making it a reliable sound companion. With the usual tongue, larynx and diaphragm techniques you can make it easily sound and enjoy its loud, rich, overtone-rich and lofty melodies.
Excellent price-performance ratio!
Russia is a country with a handful of jaw harp traditions: in Sakha/Yakutia, in the Altai, and in Tuva the Khomus (or Komus) is played; in Bashkortostan the Kubyz is known, and in Western Russia and in the big cities such as Moscow and St. Petersburg one can hear the name Vargan. An overview.
